Hughes to endorse Worthy

By David Wildstein, February 14 2018 2:57 pm

Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes is expected to endorse Walker Worthy for Mayor of Trenton tonight, according to sources familiar with the campaign.

Worthy, who finished third in 2014, entered the race after Mayor Eric Jackson announced that he would not seek re-election to a second term.

Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Trenton) was the first to get in the race and has a significant support after representing Trenton in the legislature for the last 23 years.   The Watson family, which includes Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing) are expected to support City Councilman Duncan Harrison.
