Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco is bring out the heavy hitters tomorrow when he formally announces his bid for re-election to a second term. Gov. Phil Murphy, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker, Democratic County Chairman Lou Stellato, and Congressmen Josh Gottheimer and Bill Pascrell are scheduled to speak at the announcement.
Tedesco is taking a page out of the Joe DiVincenzo playbook — out of the box with a star-studded cast of Democrats — but Joe D would never have built an all-male group that omits the Majority Leader of the New Jersey Senate, Loretta Weinberg. It’s possible that Weinberg is unavailable, and if that’s the case, it’s a perfectly reasonable answer. But if she simply wasn’t included, than this is a tactical error for Tedesco.
