A group of Red Bank local officials today endorsed Josh Welle for Congress in the 4th district.   Mayor Pasquale Menna, Councilwoman Kathleen Horgan, Councilman Ed Zipprich, Councilman Erik Yngstrom, and Councilman Michael Ballard are supporting Welle for the chance to oppose nineteen-term Rep. Chris Smith (R-Hamilton) in the general election.

“Josh Welle brings something valuable and unique to the table: a capability of navigating bureaucracy and understanding of the private sector. His experience at the Naval Academy, in the military, with NATO, and at the Pentagon are key tools that will be of great benefit to the people of New Jersey’s 4th District, because he’ll put his knowledge and connections to work to tackle issues that affect all of us,” he group said in a statement. “He also understands the 21st-century economy and will bring new careers to NJ CD4. It’s not hard to see that he lives by his ‘service over self’ motto, and we couldn’t be happier to endorse him in his run for Congress.”

Menna said that the partisan divide in Washington would he helped by “Josh’s pragmatic approach to leadership is a way to put some much-needed civility back in Congress.”
