Nicholas Scutari seems to be adding a Senator a day to his list of endorsements in the race for Democratic Chairman. Today it’s State Sen. Nellie Pou (D-Paterson) — significant because she is a close ally of John Currie, the Democratic State Chairman and Passaic County Democratic Chairman. Senate President Steve Sweeney and Senators Sandra Cunningham (D-Jersey City) and Teresa Ruiz (D-Newark) have also signed on as Scutari supporters.
“When I needed him to stand for the needs of children, women, and families, Nick Scutari was there. He cares about our Democratic values and fights for them every day,” Pou said. “He is a fierce leader on the Senate floor and will be a remarkable Chairman for Union County Democrats. Senator Scutari will lead the County to victory in November.”
