NJGOP announces new staff

Theresa Winegar will remain as executive director of the Republican State Committee, GOP State Chairman Doug Steinhardt announced today.

Steinhardt also announced that Harrison Neely, the vice president of Checkmate Strategies, will serve as a communications consultant.  He worked for Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean, managed Tom MacArthur’s campaign, and was Executive Director for Senate Republican Majority in 2017.

Pierce Frauenheim will be the director of operations, Ron Filan is the new political director, and Katie Martinez will serve as finance director.

“This staff represents top-tier talent that will help the NJGOP accomplish our goal of being a resource to every Republican candidate and elected official across the state,” said Chairman Steinhardt. “This is the right team to help ensure we knock off a vulnerable Bob Menendez, stop Nancy Pelosi and her plan to take over New Jersey and continue to hold Phil Murphy and his liberal agenda accountable.”

Winegar joined the state party in 2015 after working for Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, Mitt Romney in Iowa, and for Chris Christie’s 2009 campaign.  Frauenheim has managed campaigns for Kean and Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz, and was deputy campaign manager for Rep. Leonard Lance.  Filen has managed re-election campaigns for Rep. Frank LoBiondo and then-Assemblyman Chris Brown.  Martinez has worked for campaigns in several states and is a former chief of staff to Assemblyman Erik Peterson.
