Morristown Mayor Fined

Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty has been fined $4,790 for violating state campaign finance laws during his 2009 campaign.

The New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission announced today that Dougherty had settled a 2015 complaint against him and his campaign treasurer for not reporting contributions and expenditures to his first campaign nearly nine years ago — and for then filing the information in some cases more than 2,500 days late.

Dougherty was represented by powerlawyer Angelo Genova.
