Montclair Republican Municipal Chairman Roland Straten has endorsed Jay Webber for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district.
Former West Caldwell Councilman Richard Otterbein and former Montclair GOP chair Susan Straten have also endorsed Webber, a five-term Republican Assemblyman from Morris County.
Straten, the Republican nominee for Congress against Bill Pascrell in 2008 and 2010, is the first Republican municipal leader to endorse Webber. Most of the others are backing hedge fund manager Antony Ghee, the choice of Essex GOP Chairman Al Barlas, for the seat.
