A grass roots leader for President Donald Trump’s campaign has endorsed attorney John McCann for the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey fifth district.

Dr. Darrell Scott, the CEO of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, and a pastor of the New Spirit Revival Center, says that McCann has been a long-time supporter of the President.

“My friend President Donald J. Trump won New Jersey’s 5th congressional district, which is currently being represented by a losing member of the Resistance,” said Scott. “New Jersey has a winner in John McCann, who will work with our President to achieve an America First agenda for the people.”

Scott says that McCann has pledged to fight for Trump’s agenda if he is elected to Congress.

“Dr. Scott is an inspirational leader fighting for change in Washington,” McCann. “I look forward to going to Washington to work with our President and Dr. Scott to revitalize our communities and win for every American.”

McCann faces former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan in the Republican primary.  The winner will face freshman Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) in November.
