Langer still considering bid for Congress

By David Wildstein, February 06 2018 6:21 pm

Businessman Jerry Langer is moving toward a bid for the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district, but has not made a final decision.

The trucking company executive and Republican fundraiser says he has received “great encouragement from people at the local and national levels,” and is still discussing the possibility of joining the race with his family.

“So far so good,” Langer said.  “I am very excited about this opportunity.”

Former Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno and Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gilmore are among those who are pushing Langer to run.

Langer is the owner of Langer Transport Company in Jersey City. He lives in Montville.
