Twenty-two current and former Republican officials from Morris County, including Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll, have endorsed Assemblyman Jay Webber for Rodney Frelinghuysen’s 11th district House seat.

Among Webber’s supporters are Denville Mayor Tom Andes, Pequannock Mayor Cathy Winterfield, Parsippany Council President Paul Carifi, Jr.

“No one in New Jersey is more faithful to the legacy of Ronald Reagan than Jay Webber,” Carroll said.  “Jay’s record in Trenton reflects his deep commitment to small, efficient government, low taxes, and individual freedom.”

Carroll, a twelve-term legislator, says that Webber will fight “against the leftist policies that send billions of New Jersey taxpayer dollars to Washington in return for pennies.

“Jay will keep America strong and insist that the law be enforced, not ignored.  Unlike some other candidates, who are apparently running to represent San Francisco, Jay understands New Jersey values,” said Carroll.  “His service in Trenton has been exemplary; his service in Washington will make New Jersey residents proud.”

The other Webber endorses include: Denville Councilman Brian Bergen;  former Mendham Township Mayor Phyllis Florek; Montville Deputy Mayor Frank Cooney; Montville Committeeman Richard Cook; former Morris Township Mayor Rick Watson; Morristown Councilwoman Alison Deeb; Pequannock Deputy Mayor David Kohle; Pequannock Councilwoman Melissa Florance-Lynch; Pequannock Councilman Ryan Herd; Pequannock Councilman Richard Phelan; Pompton Lakes Councilman Chris Barranco; former Pompton Lakes Councilman Ellis Marples; Randolph Councilman Allen Napoliello; former Randolph Mayor Roman Hirniak; Rockaway Township Council Vice President Patricia Abrahamsen; Rockaway Township Councilwoman Phyllis Smith; Rockaway Township Councilman Tucker Kelley; and Morris County Women’s Republican Club Vice-President Barbara Dawson>

“I am honored and grateful for the ongoing support of Republican leaders for our campaign for Congress.  They know that this election it too important to stay on the sidelines, and we and our volunteers and supporters will continue to drive this campaign to a win for our country and citizens,” stated Webber.
