Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco (R-Boonton) has added 41 more supporters for his exploratory committee as he considers a bid for the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district.

Bucco’s list of supporters include Rockaway Borough Mayor Russell Greuter and Boonton Township Mayor Tom Donadio, and GOP municipal chairs Sharon Crooker (Boonton), Marilyn LaPlante Cioffi (Denville), Joe Falco (Madison),  and Joe Calvanelli (Morris Township)

Also backing Bucco are local elected officials from Boonton, Boonton Township, Byram, Chatham, Denville, Florham Park, Hanover, Jefferson, Lincoln Park, Mendham, Montville, Morristown, Parsippany Pequannock, Randolph, Rockaway Borough, and Rockaway Township.

Former Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose (R-Sussex) has also joined the Bucco exploratory effort, despite the interest of Sussex County Freeholder Sylvia Petillo in joining the race.

“As I continue to explore a run for the Republican nomination for Congress, I’m proud and humbled to add to our growing list of elected officials and key Republicans across Morris and Sussex counties,” Bucco said in a statement released this morning.

Bucco noted that the endorsements come from inside and outside his legislative district.

The first wave of Bucco’s endorsements included Sheriff Jim Gannon, Morris County Clerk Ann Grossi, and a majority of the all-Republican Morris County Board of Freeholders.
