Sabrin weighing Senate bid

By David Wildstein, January 20 2018 5:57 pm

Ramapo College Professor Murray Sabrin says he is considering a 2018 U.S. Senate bid as a Libertarian.

“I am weighing the pros and cons of accepting the Libertarian Party’s invitation to become its nominee for the U.S. Senate this year to challenge Senator Menendez,” Sabrin said.
“I will make a decision very soon.”

The New Jersey Libertarian Party is actively courting Sabrin as a candidate.

Sabrin was the first independent candidate in New Jersey history to qualify for matching funds when he ran for Governor in 1997.  If he runs, this would mark Sabrin’s formal return to the Libertarian Party.  He sought the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in 2000, 2008 and 2014.
