Senate President Pro Tempore Teresa Ruiz (D-Newark) has endorsed her colleague, State Sen. Nicholas Scutari (D-Linden) for Union County Democratic Chairman.
“I have personally seen Nick Scutari fight to defend our Democratic principles. Nick has stood with me to fully fund public education; he fought passionately to restore funding critical for women’s healthcare; and he led our fight to keep unqualified nominees out of our court system,” Ruiz said. “He’s a tenacious advocate for the principles we hold important as Democrats, and he’ll be an outstanding County Chairman.”
