ROI-NJ is reporting that Gov. Phil Murphy will appoint Tim Sullivan, the deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, to serve as Executive Director of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

Sullivan’s current boss, Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy, is not seeking re-election this year.

Sullivan was the chief of staff to the New York City Deputy Mayor for Economic Development under Mayor Michael Bloomberg.  Like Murphy, Sullivan comes from a Wall Street background.

On Friday, Murphy signed an Executive Order authorizing an audit of EDA tax incentive programs.
