The newest member of the New Jersey State Assembly, Britnee Timberlake (D-East Orange), was sworn in today to represent the 34th district. A former Essex County Freeholder, Timberlake fills the vacancy created earlier this month when Sheila Oliver resigned to become Lt. Governor.

Democrats from Essex County’s third freeholder district will meet within the next month to fill Timberlake’s freeholder seat.
