Gov. Phil Murphy has named Lynn Haynes, a lobbyist and former aide to Senate President Steve Sweeney, as his Deputy Chief of Staff for Cabinet Affairs and Operations – a new post representing a reorganization of the way Chris Christie’s front office was organized.

Haynes was the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Counsel in the Senate Majority Office from 2010 to 2014. From 2000 to 2004, she was a Deputy Attorney General of New Jersey, in the Personnel, Labor and Community Affairs section.  She is a former Assistant Commissioner Labor for Income Security.

Since 2014, she joined Advocacy & Management Group, a lobbying firm founded by her husband, AJ Sabath, a former Commissioner of Labor and Chief of Staff to Senate President Richard Codey.
