Democratic congressional candidate Goutam Jois says that “the state of our infrastructure is pathetic.”
Jois, a Summit attorney, is seeking the 7th district seat of Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton).
“I was glad to hear the President turn his attention to fixing our crumbling infrastructure, but the devil is in the details,” Jois said. “One year into his administration, we’ve heard a lot about his $25 billion wall, but no commitment to the most important transportation project in the country – the $13 billion Gateway tunnel in his own backyard.”
Jois said that instead of investments, “we need in transportation and broadband access – so we can get to work on time, get online, and attract businesses to district – we got higher taxes to give huge tax cuts to billionaires.”
