Is Degnan gone at State Comptroller?

By David Wildstein, January 16 2018 12:26 pm

It’s probably just an innocent mistake, but Gov. Phil Murphy’s new website reflects a vacancy in the office of the State Comptroller.

That’s not accurate.  Philip James Degnan was appointed for a six-year term in 2015; Murphy cannot remove him.

It’s possible that Degnan resigned as Murphy’s request, but there has been no confirmation of that.
