Huge crowds for Women’s March

By David Wildstein, January 20 2018 11:11 am

Judging only from photographs that activists are posting on Twitter this morning, it appears as though enormous numbers have turned out for today’s Women’s March in Morristown.  Even the train platform in Denville was full, as activists waited to NJ Transit to Morristown.

One striking sign noted that nobody there was voting for Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen.  That’s hard to dispute.  Two of the Democrats running against Frelinghuysen, Tamara Harris and Mikie Sherrill, each accompanied by a large group of supporters.  State Sen. Dick Codey (D-West Orange) and Assemblywoman Mila Jasey (D-South Orange) were marching with Sherrill.  Both have endorsed her campaign.

Other Republican candidates from around the state have reported attending the march, including Linda Weber, who wants to take on Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton), and Jim Keady, who is running against Rep, Tom MacArthur (R-Toms River).
