Today is Phil Murphy’s 8th day in office. He signed his fourth Executive Order, mandating a review of New Jersey’s medical marijuana policy – that’s something he said he would do during his campaign. No Republican legislators issued statements today in opposition to Murphy’s decision. That might come in a couple of months, when the Governor announces his new plan. But for now, the lack of any Republican defense of Chris Christie’s medical marijuana policy must be viewed as good for Murphy. Tomorrow might be different – Murphy’s having a DACA event with his Attorney General – but it’s always a good day when you keep a campaign promise and do so without any criticism.
