Former Union County Freeholder Vernell Wright has endorsed State Sen. Nicholas Scutari for county chairman. The significance is that Wright comes from Union, the political base of State Sen. Joe Cryan – the lead supporter of acting County Chair Colleen Mahr.
“I think Senator Nick Scutari will do a wonderful job as Union County Chairman,” said Wright, a former teacher. “I wholeheartedly support Nick for this position.”
