Will Cunningham, a former aide to U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, has become the third Democrat to enter the race for the open seat of Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-Vineland).

Cunningham, 36, worked for Organizing America in Ohio during Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign, and then as South Jersey Field Organizer on Booker’s 2013 Senate bid.   He worked in the Senate for two years, and then on the Democratic staff as investigate counsel to the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

A graduate of Brown University, Cunningham received his law degree from the University of Texas.  He spent two years teaching social studies for Teach for America.  He grew up in Vineland.

State Sen. Jeff Van Drew (D-Dennis) is the front-runner for the Democratic nomination.  Tanzie Youngblood, a retired teacher and Blue Star Mother from Woolwich, entered the race before LoBiondo’s election day announcement that he would not seek re-election to a 13th term.
