Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco (R-Boonton) sent a clear signal today that he is not running for Congress: at 3:16 PM, he posted an invitation to a fundraiser for his 2019 Assembly re-election campaign on his Facebook page.
Bucco had been considered as a possible candidate to replace Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-Harding) for the open 11th district seat.
“I am starting my fundraising effort on February 21st with a cocktail reception at Jockey Hollow Bar and Grill in Morristown,” Bucco wrote. “Jockey Hollow has been voted one of the hottest new restaurants in NJ. This is a new venue for me and I am excited about the event. I hope you be able to support the event and join me for a unique and tasteful night in Morristown on the 21st.
