Murphy slams Trump At Women’s March

By David Wildstein, January 20 2018 11:48 am

Gov. Phil Murphy strongly criticized President Donald Trump for the shutdown of the federal government during remarks at Morristown Town Hall this morning.

“It happens to be the year anniversary of he who should not be named being our president,” Murphy said.  He didn’t mention Trump by name, but his inference was clear.

Accompanied by First Lady Tammy Murphy, the governor is among thousands attending today’s Women’s March in Morristown.

“As if we needed a reminder about this guy, he basically shut and locked the door and walked away from the government last night over not funding kids who have no where else to go.”

Murphy focused his anger on the Children’s Health Insurance Program, Dreamers, and DACA participants.

“That’s not who we are.  We’re better than that.”
